The Financial Monitoring Unit (FMU) conducted a launching ceremony of FMU’s “AML/CFT Awareness and goAML Tutorial Videos” on Wednesday 01st of December 2021. The videos have been developed with the support of UNODC. The event was attended by senior officials from Regulatory Bodies, Ministry of Finance, FATF Secretariat Pakistan, and representatives from Banking Sector, Exchange Companies and Non-Banking Financial Institutions.
These awareness and tutorial videos aim to build capacity of the personnel of the reporting entities about Anti-Money Laundering / Countering Terrorism Financing regime and to readily equip them with the technical aspects of STRs and CTRs reporting by using goAML application.
The Director General FMU Ms. Lubna Farooq Malik, the host of the ceremony, explained the purpose of developing videos and during the session parts of videos were also previewed. The launching ceremony was held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi.
